3 Solar C40 Turbine SCR Denitrification Projects Successfully Passed Acceptance

Introduction:

With increasingly stringent environmental regulations, reducing industrial emissions and protecting the blue skies and clear waters have become core responsibilities for corporate development. Recently, our company successfully completed a gas turbine denitrification (DeNOx) retrofit project at a large-scale terminal processing plant. By leveraging innovative technologies, we achieved efficient control of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, injecting green momentum into regional air quality improvement.

Project Background:

Nitrogen oxides generated during gas turbine operations are a major source of atmospheric pollution. In response to Chinas "Dual Carbon" goals and local environmental requirements, the terminal processing plant upgraded its Solar C40 turbine units to ensure full compliance with emission standards, thereby contributing to ecological sustainability.

Solution:

The project adopted the globally leading Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, achieving collaborative multi-unit emission reduction through customized design:

High-Efficiency DeNOx System: A Solar scr system was newly installed to treat exhaust gases from three C40 turbine units (total power: 120 MW). With a flue gas processing capacity of 200,000 Nm³/h, the NOx concentration was reduced from 150 mg/Nm³ to 30 mg/Nm³ (at 15% Oreference).

Precision Monitoring System: Upgraded the CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) to track key parameters such as flue gas temperature (300400°C) and flow velocity in real-time, ensuring transparent and controllable emission data.

Green Process Optimization: Converted the urea injection system to direct ammonia injection, combined with Solars patented catalysts, achieving an ammonia slip rate of 1.5 mg/m³. This balances high-efficiency denitrification with operational safety.

Technical Highlights:

Remarkable Emission Reduction: Post-retrofit, NOx emissions from the gas turbines dropped significantly from 150 mg/Nm³ to 30 mg/Nm³ (at 15% O), surpassing national standards.

Stable and Reliable Operation: Ammonia slip rate strictly controlled at 1.5 mg/m³, ensuring both environmental and operational safety.

Resource Efficiency: Reduced retrofit costs through flue duct integration and equipment sharing, enabling efficient resource allocation.
